Loran Hygema

Lead Archivist

Loran Hygema attended Ball State University, majoring in photojournalism. He has worked as a motorsports photographer since 1986, and has had his work featured in Racer, Auto Week, Auto Sport UK, and ESPN, among other publications. He is a master fine art printer and operates a 6,000 square foot, large format, fine art printing facility that includes a state-of-the-art traditional, analog darkroom and digital print studio, providing high quality, fine art digital prints using state-of-the-art printers and scanners. Since 2010, Loran has advised the Goldwater family on the preservation of Barry M. Goldwater’s oeuvre of photographic and film works and acts as the Foundation’s lead preservationist, archivist, and printer.
